Due to a lack of running water in Peñasco as of November 11th, today’s game is canceled. We apologize for the inconvenience. Middle school boys will practice at 6 PM, and middle school girls will practice from 3 to 4:30 PM.

Middle school boys basketball practice Saturday, November 9 at 10:00 am to 11:30 am and Sunday, November 19 at 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Uniforms will be given Sunday for the game on Monday.
Mora ISD Parents:
This afternoon, Holman Elementary experienced what appears to be an electrical fire. Starting Tuesday, November 12th, the Holman students will be temporarily housed at Mora Elementary.
As soon as we make the necessary repairs and get the clearance from the fire investigator, we will resume classes at Holman.

Due to the anticipated snow accumulation and weather conditions, MISD will have asynchronous learning on Thursday (11/7) and Friday (11/8). Students will be provided assignments via Google Classroom or from their teachers in paper packet form. Staff will be available for any questions that may arise. Furthermore, per MISD calendar there will be no school for students on Monday, November 11, in observance of Veterans' Day. Stay safe, stay warm, and have a great weekend!

Parents of Holman elementary students, please be advised that due to lack of power in Holman all pre-K and kinder students will be housed in Mora for today.
Due to the Community Roundtable in the elementary gym on November 4, practice schedules have been adjusted. Middle School Girls' Basketball practice will begin at 6:00 PM, followed by Middle School Boys' Basketball at 7:00 PM, both in the main gym. JV/Varsity Volleyball will practice from 4:00 to 5:00 PM, with Middle School Volleyball following from 5:00 to 6:00 PM. Additionally, our Winter Sports Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 5:30 PM in the High School lecture hall.

You are cordially invited to listen to two distinguished "super-heroes" that are Mora ISD alumni, Dr. Manuel Montoya and Dr. Fidel Trujillo. They will share their experiences and accomplishments with us. Growing up together in Mora, the community's values of Ranger Pride, love of family, faith, unity, respect, and hard work were deeply instilled in them. These values were the driving forces in their success.
The event will be held on Monday, November 4th, in the elementary gym at 6 pm.
Refreshments will be served and door prizes will be given away.
Today's volleyball games start at 4 PM with the JV team, followed by the varsity team. There are no middle school games today because McCurdy does not have a team.
Mandatory Boys and Girls Middle School basketball practice starts on Monday, November 4, 2024. Girls at 4:00 pm, Boys at 6:00 pm.
Must have a current sports physical to be able to attend.
This afternoon's BPA Meeting has been cancelled due to PTCs and will resume next Wednesday from 4-6 pm.

Elementary students and families, for our upcoming pumpkin decorating contest, we only have two requirements:
1. Pumpkins cannot be carved; they must be painted and/or decorated
2. Pumpkins must have name and grade on bottom of pumpkin (not visible)
We can't wait to see your pumpkins! Bring them in October 28 & 29 from 8:00-8:30 or after school.
Mora Holman Elementary, it's pumpkin decorating time! Pumpkins will be accepted on October 28 & 29 from 8-8:30 a.m. in Mora Elementary Library. Entries will be posted on MISD Facebook page from October 29 -October 31 . Voting will be tallied at 9:00 pm on 10/31/2024. We can't wait to see what you all come up with this year!
