We would like to inform you that ELA final exams will be administered by Ms. Lorinda Manuel.
This adjustment is due to an injury sustained by the former ELA teacher, who is currently in the process of a full recovery and unable to administer the exams at this time. We kindly ask that you keep her in your thoughts as she continues to heal.
To ensure continuity and a smooth testing process, Ms. Manuel will oversee the administration of the ELA finals in alignment with district expectations and testing procedures.
Please be assured that all exams will be administered fairly, securely, and according to established guidelines. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact the school office.

Mora Elementary will be hosting a Scholastic Book Fair from December 1–4, 2025 in the school library.
📖 Students will be able to shop from a variety of books at different reading levels, from Kindergarten through 6th grade.
📝 Merchandise will also include bookmarks, posters, journals, highlighters, and more!
📂 Book Fair flyers with book titles and merchandise prices will be sent home on Monday, December 1, so families can preview items together.

🚍 MISD Families — We Need Your Help on Dec. 1!
Monday, December 1st is our 80th Day Reporting, an important state reporting date that determines transportation funding for our district. Consequently, Bus 11 will not be running through the EL ALTO road due to construction.
We ask that all students who normally ride the bus please do so on 12/1.
Your child riding the bus that day helps MISD secure funding to support safe routes, staffing, fuel, and transportation services for all students.

Head Start & Early Head Start Families,
Due to an increase in hand, foot, and mouth disease cases, there will be no school for Head Start and Early Head Start on Monday, November 24 and Tuesay, November 25.
This temporary closure will allow time for additional cleaning and to help prevent further spread of illness. We appreciate your understanding and partnership in keeping our students and staff healthy.
If your child is showing any symptoms (fever, rash on hands/feet, mouth sores, etc.), please keep them home and contact your healthcare provider.
